If you don’t have a mental illness but would like to learn more about looking after your mental health, I hope you will find these resources helpful.

NHS inform has a useful page on mental wellbeing.

The Mental Health Foundation suggest ten simple ways to look after your mental health.

This self-soothing kit is an idea from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to help you cope with stress. DBT is for borderline personality disorder but you don’t have to have a personality disorder or any other mental illness to benefit from this. Highly recommended for exam season!

Mindfulness is a useful life skill. Here are some free mindfulness resources: Finding Peace in a Frantic World (based on the book with the same name) and Free Mindfulness.

“Don’t compare yourself to others” is a cartoon about self esteem from Zen Pencils, inspired by the writings of the philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti.

A good sleep pattern and eating well are important- have a look at these pages from the RCPsych.
